In-Character Information
Name : Arceus, Orignal One, Bob Heather Arceus
Game/Series: Pokemon
Teacher/Student/Other: Student
Canon Point: End of her last stay at Smash Academy
Age: Really, really, really old.
Dorm or Living Arrangement: Dorm.

Personality:
Love life and life will love you back. Love people and they will love you back.
-Arthur Rubinstein

An enigma to most of those who know her, Bob loves the universe and all the creatures on it. Fundamentally at least, she has incredible patience and a pleasant smile that seems to follow her wherever she goes. While not always giving out answers, dealing with philosophy about various views regarding who she is and why she is here, she will change her views on a whim if it suits a purpose or a lesson. While Chaos could reign near her...as it seems to do on a regular basis, she seems to treat it with a pleasant, almost mundane formality that can easily annoy others around her. Literally, the sky could fall and she would be having afternoon tea, use one hand to push it back up and ask if anyone would like the little sandwiches without crusts she's made.

While sometimes voicing her displeasure in polite, hushed tones, the Original One always tries to let her view be just that and allow the others chose, allowing her companions to come to the answer themselves. Having promised itself to interfere as little in the lives of all it has created, it treats a careful line before her own personal wants and needs compared to those that the entire world has. To be a beneficent mother without overmothering those that she cares about.

It is perhaps of this, then, that when the Original One gets angry, many easily shrink back from the sheer force of will that she suddenly exerts. It is, after all, hard to argue against something that has literally the power to kill and crush you with a single thought. Thankfully it has done this very rarely over the billions of years it has lived, the two most notable times being when she banished Giratina to another dimension and when she nearly wiped out humanity and Pokemon alike when she had her first Judgement of them. This is, actually, another thing that hovers around her, her close children and those that know their Arceus lore speak of it in hushed tones – that Arceus, as much as she likes to give, can also take, and should the world be Judged unworthy of her gifts, they will be removed.

But sometimes it is near impossible to think of this, as she walks around in small smiles and giggles, floating just enough that you're not sure if she was doing it or not, running a tea and cake shop in the city and attending the school like any other student. How could such a tiny woman contain so much power in a single body?

As she has existed since the dawn of time. Arceus is afraid of dying. She has witness her birth and death countless times, sometimes taking people and Pokemon with her to witness it, but always dreading when she would go there for one final time, and create itself before dying, completing the Final Odorous. This was an event which she overcame mostly thanks to the trainings of Mu, although the primal fear from it was something she had never realized until that moment. But knowing that the universe could go on without her is a huge burden that was taken off her shoulders, and opened up doors to, perhaps, change.

She might seem incredibly snobbish or all-knowing at times, and truthfully...she rather is. It is, perhaps, one of her greatest flaws in that she sometimes sees humanity and its evolution something to be frightened of – loathing the man-made Pokemon, and dreading the use of technology as it grew. It was only when she herself had an experience as a dark virus during a week where everyone changed personality that she finally made peace with, at the very least, accepting that her children were growing up and would not need her as much as before. Yet she only sees a few individuals are true equals, and buried deep inside all the love and caring is a certain amount of narcissism.

Arceus has no soul, or rather she has none to call her own, having given hers away to create everything around her. She will only regain it when all life on the world is dead, and will then use it to recreate herself. This does create a paradox as to what would happen if she itself were to die before this happened...sometimes she mysteriously says something about Missing Numbers and items being multiplied for no reason, but leaves it as such.

Backstory:
Now, this is the story all about how
It created life and that got flipped-turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute
Just sit right there
I'll tell you how the Original One can walk on thin air.

15 Billion BC, born and raised
All around the universe, it spent most of its days,
Chillin' out maxin' relaxin' with the kids all cool
And creating planets, Pokemon, poeple and imposing some rules,
When Giratina got pissed,
It was up to no good
Startin making trouble in earth's neighborhoods
It tried to fight the humans and his mom was up in the air,
Banished him into another dimension to its great despair.

He begged and pleaded with her day after day
But she told him he'd have to be in there and stay this way
She gave it a second form so it could survive there.
And hopefully there wouldn't be any space-time tears.

Great wars, yo this is bad,
Arceus didn't think this was cool, and wasn't glad.
Is this what the people and Pokemon wanted to live like?
This definitely wasn't alright.

They could have pleaded, begged but it was too late,
As Arceus rose into the air, hovering around its places
Judgement!
You could have cut the tension with a knife,
The first one that extinguished most life.

Well uh, the planet started again and her family separated,
Sent to the lakes, rivers, seas, volcanoes, skies yet they were fated,
To all meet again, not just yet.
Life flourished quicker than before!
There should be less lines to parody this is getting to be a snore.

Let's skip to Final Destination City!
2011AD!

Arceus whistled for a cab and when it came near
The license plate said SMASH and it had a neotank in the mirror
If anything she can say is that this cab was cool
But thought, 'let's not think about it, sir, please, to the school!'

They pulled up to the building towering the mountain,
Toilet paper still stuck in the fountain,
She looked at the kingdom
She was finally there
To be a student and have food from the lunchbear.

Wait not good enough aww...

In the beginning, there was a void of nothingness. But a creature pierced the heavens (well the nearly created ones so they could be piercable, perhaps) and, war-torned, bleeding to death and on the last of it's energy, created a final egg.

And that egg was itself. Arceus, the Original One. And it was good.

However, if one where to ask where she came from, she wouldn't tell you, just igve a pat on the shoulder and mention something about the Big Bang, but apart from being one of the lucky few that she'll take along to see this once in a while, it's honestly hard to tell if she's just joking around or being deadly serious. Despite her age, she looks so young and naive, after all.

When the world was nothing but a tiny meteor in the sky and the universe was being birthed, Arceus grew tired of being alone in her task and thus created her first child – Mew. Mew was her companion for many generations, and the two traveled the worlds as Arceus continued to slowly prod and touch everything around them, creating worlds and places. However, she grew tired of doing this along and at Mew's suggestion, created three new children – Dialga, Palkia and Giratina. The lord of space, the lord of time and the lord of dimensions helped the Original one to forge and create worlds around them. In doing so, she met others like her, not of the same universe, and developed both friendships and rivalries. But that's a story for another day. In this universe however, Arceus grew increased interested in a tiny little planet which she named Earth, watching ad the tiny little cells grew into creatures over the years. To give them guidance, she created the spirits of knowledge, emotion, and willpower, giving them a home in the lake around what would be later called the Sinnoh region. To help earth be forged, she created Pokemon to watch over the ground and sky itself, Groudon and Kyogre. To keep both of them in check, she created Rayquaza to maintain balance. Later, she made more so that parts of the world could always be watched; the three great birds of fire, thunder and ice with Lugia to watch over them, Ho-oh the great guardian of the skies, Kami of heavens and lightning with the one of land to watch over them and make sure that they wouldn't abuse their powers, a trio of golems with another to watch over to and create continents, and finally a great dragon that would protect those that had pure hearts.

To Arceus, earth was a cherished jewel and for the first few billions years, the world enjoyed a peaceful life, where her first children – named Legendaries by others, would walk amongst the common mortals. Arceus itself, sometimes appearing either as a male or a female human would do so as well, even falling in love.

Yet this peace was not made to last forever. Tragedy after tragedy began to strike the world – first was Giratina's betrayal, as it grew jealous of humanity that Arceus cherished so much – sometimes over all her other children and Pokemon. She was forced to banish him to another dimension as a punishment. Groudon and Kyogre began to fight and even Rayquaza wasn't enough to hold them in check. She had to appear at them herself and banish them to different parts of the world. Pokemon cried out that she was being unfair in showing humans how to catch and tame them like mere beasts and not equals – something Arceus had always said she wanted first and foremost. Wars and battles broke out and both sides began to ignore her teachings, fight each other in constant wars and she was left with no choice but to cast Judgement upon them.

Thus, the first great era came to a close. The one that followed, (and is still on progress) saw Pokemon and Humans speaking different languages, unable to communicate as before. She ordered most of the Legendaries to disappear from the common human's eyes – only to show themselves to those who understood the true relationship between Pokemon and human. Places in the world moved forward, as humanity continued to evolve, some less in tune with, what Arceus perceived as the 'proper' way to grow around them, creating machines, computers and technology that baffled even her.

It was when they began to create machines which could bring back Pokemon that had been wiped out during the first era, and testing TMs which could turn Pokemon into human-like creaturs did she realize, perhaps, she needed to step in personally again. Yet not wanting to simply just destroy everything once more, and more than a little curious itself, she began to go around the world again, adopting a number of forms, yet never hinting who she was.

Her appreciation for humanity began to grow again, and she wondered, perhaps, if she had been to strict before. Again, Arceus began to find herself falling in love with men and women, but the strongest of this was, strangely enough, to a man who couldn't be the farthest from her – a Commanding Officer of Blue Moon named Olaf. But with her powers, Arceus could see that they would have a happy life together.

...for two years. Then he would die, distracted by thoughts of her. Not wanting this to happen, she left a month into their marriage, perhaps granting him a longer lifespan but turning the man's already cold and bitter heart into something which he would never return. In a way, she might have killed him in a far worst way.

Confused at what it should do – and being the Original One which should know all the answers, it turned, strangely enough, to the world of the 1980's, latching on to the years for over three decades, adopting a sort of naive girl personality and look. One could say it was shielding itself from her biggest heartbreak.

Eventually, she decided to enroll to Smash Academy, both knowing that, eventually the man she used to love would come for a year, and to satisfy her growing curiosity at the establishment – and one that seemed to follow the dream she always had – where Pokemon and Humans walked together as equals. Perhaps not in complete harmony, but more than she had seen before. It was a welcome change. She entered as a student.

Smash Academy was a strange experience for Arcues. Not only because it seemed to exist on a plane of existence on its own – a place where people from different time streams and even universes could come together and, strangely enough, learn. And learn she did – sessions of Mu which helped her overcome its own fear of death, magical artifacts which returned her to a much younger state when her powers were harder to control, causing trouble around campus...even turning into an evil virus. The last even helped her slowly change her views on man-made creations and Pokemon.

She fell in love again with a man named Kyle Hyde. They were married in Vegas, in a rather drunken affair. Yet, once again, knowing that if he stayed with her for too long, his life, too, would end in tragedy, she saw him off, removed his memories of her and watched as he made a phone call with a woman she knew would take much better care of him than she ever could.

Heartbroken once again, and with a lust to visit her world, she left the campus without much fanfare, leaving the store which she ran still alive, mysteriously. Perhaps a clue that she would come back one day.

It didn't take too long. When one as the ability to move around in time, the mundane of the rest of the world was nothing compared to the strange feelings it got around the school. And with Cyrus there and whatever plans he might have, keeping a watching eye on him might be important. And thus, once again, Arceus returned to Smash Academy to begin a new school year.

Anything Else?:

  • Despite changing, Bob still listens to 80's music nearly exclusively. She has an extensive vinyl collection, and an old music player that makes scratching noises.

  • Each plate gives Arceus a new human form. Some are male, some are female. Her normal form is the one she uses most of the time.

  • Loves Star Wars, Star Trek, Star Wolf, Star Fox...Anything with Star. Even Ringo Star.

  • She loves the sounds of instruments and will gladly spend hours listening to someone play.

  • Her entire room side is decorated with stuffed Pokemon and Digimon toys. There is barely any room to sleep on her bed..

  • She still has trouble understanding technology, and anything that is mostly man-made but isn't as bad as before.

  • Anything in history can be changed with other Legendary players as they set fit. I just made it this way so there would be one but I am more than glad to talk with any legendary player as to how your characters play a role in this.

  • I know playing Arceus is pretty erm...godmoddy but I think you've all seen me play her once and you know I won't be abusing anything that she can do or say.

[The camera moves along as Arceus looks at it so close you can make out the iris in her eye.]

They've gotten really small over time, haven't they? At this rate there might be nothing to see at all in a few years! It's amazing what humanity can do, isn't it?

[She holds one of the large Pokemon toys she found during traveling.]

Look! It's a stuffed version of Azelf! I really like that they've gotten all the details right, right down to his poseable tails in the back! If he was still here I'm sure he'd love it...

[Allow her to give you a demonstration, and making it float close to her as she continues.]

Alright, enough of that. How has everyone been lately? I hope you've been eating well and taking care of yourselves! So many new faces too! This exchange program is a wonderful idea. I think I saw Ammy wandering the halls. You have such a cute child too, he looks just like you! [She smiles and giggles.] For those who don't know me, I'm Arceus, by the way! If you want to come over to my dorm room, I've prepared a few muffins for anyone who wants them and don't worry, they'll always be your favorite flavor too!

[Have a closeup of a muffin tray. Look at those muffins. So big. So moist. So delicious.]

I'll see you soon!

[End transmission.]

In-Character 3rd person writing post:
Another day, another class.

Her golden boots made loud clacking sounds as Bob walked the halls of the school, searching for the room to her next one. She passed a few other Pokemon, giving them a small bow and listening to their hushed, surprised tones as they were mystified that the Original One was bowing or greeting them at all.

Silly children.

Arriving at the proper door, she gave the teacher a wave and with a few movements of her hands, her backpack flew off Arceus' shoulders. The books landed spread out on of the desk, trim and proper, as she placed a pencil behind her right ear should she need to take notes (not that she really needed to, but she did enjoy the feeling of the pencil on the pieces of paper). A few muffins, apple flavored of course and decorated with bright red frosting were now on the front desk - not as a way of being a teacher's pet, but simply because, well, Arceus did that to everyone.

Notes were drawn in the blackboard, as she copied everything down, before they could get to the verbal part of today's lesson. Bob grinned wildly when they did, for you see...

Music really was her favorite class.
